Gas exports from Salman Gas Field to UAE to be realized soon

TEHRAN, Jan. 23 (MNA) — Construction work aimed at exporting natural gas from Salman Gas Field to Siri through a gas pipeline will be completed within the next two months, and the gas will be exported from there to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a news report quoting an official in the Offshore Engineering and Construction Company said on Sunday.

“The construction of laying the 66-kilometer natural gas pipeline that is designed to transfer the gas from Siri to Mobarak located on the UAE border is now completed, and the pipeline is 30 inches in diameter”, noted Mohammad Reza Bahari.

He also added that 45 kilometers of the 140–kilometer gas pipeline is already completed, and the rest of the pipeline located on UAE soil will be laid by the country itself.

The 150 million dollar project is aimed at transferring the gas from Salman Oil Field to Siri Island inside Iran and from there to the Mobarak Platform in the UAE.
